Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Ottery, the to-do app at app.ottery.eu, run by Michael Knapp ("we"). By using Ottery you agree to them. Questions go to michael@ottery.eu.

Private beta

Ottery is in private beta. Access is by invitation, and we may approve, decline or end access at our discretion. Ottery is free during the beta. If that ever changes, we will tell you before you are charged anything, and nothing changes without your agreement.

Your account

You sign in with your Google account and are responsible for what happens under it. You must be at least 16 to use Ottery.

Your content

What you put into Ottery stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run Ottery for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The AI assistant

The assistant can make mistakes. It acts on your tasks and, when you ask, on your Google Calendar. Check what it does, especially before relying on dates or anything that involves other people. Changes it makes in Ottery can be undone; changes to your calendar may notify the guests of an event.

Fair use

Don't misuse Ottery: no attempts to break or overload it, access other people's data, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access that puts Ottery or other people at risk.

Beta means beta

Ottery is provided as it is, while it is still being built. Features may change or disappear, and things can break. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law does not allow a limit. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations, limited to the damage that was typical and foreseeable. Otherwise we are not liable.

Ending

You can stop using Ottery at any time and ask us to delete your account at michael@ottery.eu. We may end the beta or your access, and will give you a chance to take your data with you when we can.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version goes on this page with a new date. If the change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies.
